There are a range of Scholarships for Year 11 WA College of Agriculture – Cunderdin students progressing to study in Year 12 each year. Students are required to apply for scholarships in writing and may be considered for more than one scholarship. Scholarship applications are assessed against set criteria and students can apply during Term 3 of Year 11, with recipients announced in Term 4.
Agricultural scholarships for students transitioning into Year 12 include:
Australian Wool Education Trust (AWET) Woolwise Scholarships (3 scholarships valued at $3000 each): Recipients will show outstanding potential and a particular interest in the wool industry.
GRDC Scholarships (4 scholarships valued at $3000 each): Recipients will show outstanding potential with an interest and the understanding of the knowledge and skills that will be required for a successful career in the grains industry.
GPG Naturgy Scholarships (2 scholarships valued at $2000 each and 2 scholarships valued at $3000 each): Recipients will be reasonable achievers.
WAFarmers Agriculture Ambassador Scholarship: ($500): A complimentary annual membership to AgConnectWA valued at $200, and a complimentary ticket to attend all AgConnectWA events valued at $200, valid for 12 months.
Old Collegians Association (Inc) Scholarship ($600): The recipient is expected to be a reasonable achiever and should demonstrate the potential to be involved in an accepted career in agriculture.
College Farm Scholarship ($500): The recipient is expected to be a reasonable achiever and should demonstrate the potential to be involved in an accepted career in agriculture.
Scholarship funds are applied to each student’s account and will be deducted from the student’s Year 12 College fees.
