Application Process

Applications to the College can be submitted at any time; however, we do encourage you to apply two years prior to your intended year of enrolment.
Our selection process for Year 11 begins when students are in Term 4 of Year 9.

Applications into the College far exceeds available positions. Acceptance into the College is based on our College Selection Criteria and an interview with the Principal or Senior Staff member.

The following selection procedure is used from 16 months prior to year of entry:

ARRANGE AN INTERVIEW

The College will contact you to schedule an interview and tour. Applicants will be asked to forward their latest school reports, NAPLAN/OLNA results, birth certificate and other relevant supporting documentation to the College prior to their interview.

ATTEND AN INTERVIEW AND COLLEGE TOUR

The applicant and parents/carers will attend an interview at the College with the Principal or Senior Staff member.

Student selection is based on the following criteria:

  • Interest in agriculture curriculum
  • Interest in agriculture related trades or certificates
  • Positive and safe behaviour (including attitude, behaviour and effort)
  • Attitude and effort (as per school report)
  • Attendance (exempting reasonable explanation)
  • Reason for applying to the College
  • Residential compatibility

A Confidential Report may be obtained from the applicant’s current school.

OFFERS SENT

Offers will be sent in the year prior to entry.
There are 2 main  ‘offer rounds’ sent out in Term 1 and 2. Subsequent offers will be made, subject to gender and pathway availability (if vacancies arise).

Applicants placed on the waitlist are encouraged to continue to send through reports and supporting documentation, e.g. awards, references.
