03 Mar Director General of Education high praise for the College
Our College was thrilled to receive a letter from the Director General of Education Lisa Rodgers last week regarding our 2019 student performances. In the Department’s analysis of the 2019 senior secondary student performance data the College was highlighted as having a positive impact on Year 12 student progress and success. “I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge your leadership and thank the staff at the Western Australian College of Agriculture – Cunderdin. It is evident that it is the motivation, commitment and capability of your staff that has provided the foundation for this success. Together you have provided an education that ensures your students are best placed for post-school opportunities and a meaningful future,” Mrs Rodgers said in her letter to Principal Sally Panizza. Mrs Panizza said she was extremely proud of the dedication of staff in guiding students to achieve their best outcomes. The College had a 100% WACE (WA Certificate of Education) achievement rate last year and our median ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank) score has almost doubled from its 2018 level. The College was also the highest performing school in the Year 12 ATAR Animal Production Systems course. Mrs Panizza said the excellent results and number of qualifications achieved by our graduating students made them highly employable. “With agriculture a booming industry, WACOA Cunderdin is well placed to capitalise on this exciting opportunity,” she said.
